Front Patio: As you arrive at the property, you and your guests will park under the car port and driveway. Walk towards the covered front patio and you will see a relaxing sitting area where you will enjoy your late afternoons or early mornings sipping your favorite drink and looking out at our beautiful neighborhood! Stay a while and enjoy! We call our place Fleur de Lis!

Living Room/Dining Room: As you enter the home, find yourself in a stylish living room with a large sofa and accompanying chair. Make yourself at home in front of a large 65-inch smart TV. (Bring your log in and password for your favorite streaming services!). Take your shoes off and relax on the couch and prop your feet on the ottoman in the middle or take note of the infinity game table by the blue wall. Tap to turn it on and challenge your family members to play screen versions of your favorite board games like Monopoly, Life, Scrabble, Battleship, and others. You and your loved ones are bound to spend many hours of fun playing! The windows in this space are large, so open the drapes to let plenty of light in during the day to fill the room so you may view the outside! Enjoy a meal on the hand-built wooden dining table, which has room for six. If you have two more guests, pull out the stools on the high table nearby. This house has room for up to eight people!

Kitchen: Here you’ll find beautiful, updated white cabinetry and plenty of counter space to make a meal and help create memories for your loved ones and friends. The kitchen is well appointed with all the needed amenities: plates, glasses, cups, utensils, knives, cutting boards, cooking ware, cooking gloves, silverware, blender, baking pans, wine glasses, etc. You’ll find a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and an air fryer/toaster combo! The refrigerator has filtered water and ice. There’s also a dishwasher for your convenience.

Bedroom 1: Make yourself at home in the comfortable queen bed with comfy pillows, cushions, and linens. While relaxing, you can lay and watch television on the 43-inch smart TV. This room boasts a large closet with racks and hangers, including iron and ironing board. Next to the closet, walk into the bath complete with towels and complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The tub in this bathroom is a jetted tub. Additionally, the shower head is detachable with various spray settings. There’s a washer and dryer in the back for use, if needed.

Bedroom 2: Come inside and place your belongings on the luggage rack in the closet; place your clothes in the large dresser. Then, enjoy your stay while making yourself comfortable on a king size bed with clean white linens, stylish cover, comfy pillows, and cushions while you relax watching the 55-inch smart TV in front of you. The room has its own half bath for privacy. The windows let in ample light during the day while you can turn down the blinds before tucking in for the night.

Bath 2: Between Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 4 there’s a full bath also complete with towels and complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The tub has a detachable shower head with various spray settings. A small vanity and storage for your bath items is available here.

Bedroom 3: This room boasts a king size bed also with comfy linens and pillows plus a throw on the bed to keep you warmer if needed. There’s a stylish bench at the of the bed for dressing. The large windows let in plenty of light during the day and the blinds can be turned down before tucking in. There's a closet with plenty of room as well as a nice large dresser for your clothing.

Bedroom 4: This room can be used as a study as it contains a small desk and chair plus a lamp. The desk sits next to a built-in bookcase where you may find some books of interest and board games. A twin size day bed with trundle sits at the opposite side of the room, also with comfy linens and pillows to make you feel at home!

Covered Back Yard Patio and Gazebo: Enjoy your time in the back yard on the patio table and gaze at the large oak tree looming over the gazebo in the yard. There are two fans under the covered patio you can turn on if you want a breeze while sitting out on a warm day. A patio dining table is available. Watch and listen to the birds in the early morning or early evening with a cup of coffee or drink of choice. Alternatively, walk to the gazebo and sit on the large chairs to enjoy the shade and surroundings under the large oak tree! If you have kids, there’s plenty of room out back to run around!

Guest access

Use keypad on door to check in with PIN assigned to you. This will be the last four digits of the phone number you've booked with. PIN is for UNLOCKING door only. When unlocking wait for door latch to stop turning before opening door; otherwise it will jam and you'll have to start over. To LOCK door when leaving you ONLY need to press the large 'Kwikset' button above the numbers on the keypad.

Guests may access all spaces in property, except the storage shed in back yard and locked storage (owner's) closets in house.

Other things to note

3 to 4 vehicles fit on the driveway. Streets are narrow so please park on driveway. There are trash bins on the side of the house by the driveway where you may place trash bags into.

Be aware there are security cameras in front (doorbell), side, and back of house - do not attempt to disconnect these. Just like in a hotel building, they are for yours and our protection!

Things to Do

Shreveport offers many things to see and do and eat near our house - all within as few as 5 to 12 minutes away. Drive to downtown to and visit the Shreveport Aquarium, take a show at the IMAX theater at the Sci-Port Discovery Center, or the shop at the Boardwalk Mall in the Red River District. Visit other shops and restaurants on nearby Youree Drive or have a drink at the Great Raft Brewery... visit www.greatraftbrewing.com

It’s probably one of the best reviewed restaurants in Shreveport. It’s pricey, but everything is made by Chef Anthony and his crew from scratch. There’s Rack of Lamb, Herb Roasted Chicken, Crispy Duck Breast, and Seared U-10 Scallops, among others. They have fine wines, soups & salads, desserts, and even a Kids’ menu.

  2. Athena Greek & Lebanese Grill – 6030 Line Avenue, Suite 410, Shreveport, LA 7116. Phone: 1-318-869-4260. Want to try out some gyro sandwiches or kebabs? This is the place for great Lamb Lula – lamb and beef marinated with herbs and spices. Try the Chicken or Beef kabob or Lamb Chops. There are plenty of seafood and vegetarian plates, too! Tilapia Fish Plate, Shrimp Kabob, and an awesome Lebanese Fish that is marinated with garlic and lemon juice; then, sautéed with spices and fresh cilantro. Yum! They don’t have a website, but you can Google them.

3. Gibbons Fine Grill – 1714 E 70th Street, Shreveport, LA 71105. Phone: 1-318-848-7071. This may be one of the best local restaurants in the Broadmoor area! They have contemporary grill menu of steaks, seafood, and burgers, pasta dishes, plus salads. I’ve had their steak and shrimp over rice with asparagus – it’s delicious! Their plating and garnishment are very nice. Try the ribs as well…oh, heaven! One cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. End your meal with a delicious key-lime pie! You may call ahead with reservations at this restaurant. It gets busy! Check out www.gibbonsgrill.com for their menu.

4. Ki’ Mexico – 3839 Gilbert Drive, Shreveport, LA 71104. Phone: 1-318-861-5941. Of course, we could not leave out Mexican food! This place has authentic food – not TexMex. This place is a hip, laid-back cantina with outdoor seating and live music at times. It has specialty tacos – steak, shrimp, pork, chorizo, barbacoa…, flan, elotes (corn with cheese, lime, and chili powder), tortas, and delicious margaritas. Even the Mexican hamburger with pineapple and bacon is outstanding! Try the Huevos & Tamales – chicken and mole tamales with fried eggs on top, cilantro, onions, and crema on top. They even have Mexican style meatballs with green mole. OMG! The cocktails and cervezas are good too! Plus, they have a kid’s menu. They don’t have a website, but you can look them up on Facebook.

5. Craw Daddy’s Kitchen – 9370 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71118. Phone: 1-318-688-7582. This Cajun restaurant is a bit far from our house, but it’s a popular spot for South Louisiana favorites - crawfish, frog legs, catfish, and more! “Laissez les bon temps rouler” at this place. Crawfish Etouffee and crawfish cornbread are delicious! Try the BIG Seafood platter or shrimp & grits, if you like. Check them out at www.crawdaddyskitchen.com to look at their menu.

  6. The Cub Lounge & Grill – 3002 Girard Street, Shreveport, LA 71104. Phone: 1-318-868-9686. Don’t let the outside fool you. It’s a very good bar and restaurant with a limited menu but done well! They’ve been around since 1939! They have great steak and seafood, and the Potatoes Au Gratin are to die for…so delicious! Most people get these. The wedge salad is great to start with, which is served with their main dishes. Call ahead and make reservations as the place is small. Visit www.thecubloungeandgrille.com to view their menu.

Flying Heart Brewing & Pub – 700 Barksdale Blvd, Shreveport, LA 71111. Phone: 1-318-584-7039. This place was an old firehouse converted to a restaurant and brewery! They’re known for their great pizza made with fresh ingredients and, of course, their craft beer. Their wings and German pretzels are also great! Marilynn’s Place – 4041 Fern Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71105. Phone: 1-318-868-3004. What better place to try out Cajun cuisine! Jambalaya, Etouffe, Po’ Boys, Seafood Gumbo, etc, etc, and then end it with some Beignets for dessert… Comfort food doesn’t get any better than this!

Shane’s Seafood and BBQ – 5914 Youree Drive, Shreveport, LA 71105. Phone: 1-318-865-6088. You want some crawfish or BBQ? This is the place to come to! Not too far from our place, it offers bbq plates, fried catfish, fried gator, fried oysters, crawfish pie… oohh! ….and how about trying a ½ pound plate of crab legs? The hush puppies and sides are good too. The burgers are good as well as their breads and cheeses!

Fleur de Lis in Shreveport is our home away from home. Our family lives there and we like to visit them often as it's a short drive from our home in the DFW area.

Fleur de Lis is a magnificent and relaxing home in the quiet and peaceful Broadmoor area of Shreveport. It's our second home and we love the its ambiance. The stylish home and furniture relaxes and fills the eyes. We love the large, relaxing back yard with the huge oak tree, the inviting gazebo, and covered patio!

This home is perfect for hosting our family as well as yours. The neighborhood is lush and green during the spring and summer months. The blooms come to life in the spring and the whole area is teeming with rainbows of color from hydrangeas, azaleas, crepe myrtles, tall pines, large oak trees, tall magnolias, and purple tulip trees!
